My heartfelt thanks to Rescue Me. After looking for over two months for just the right kitten, l found him yesterday. He was owned by a lovely lady named Darlene, who was very sad to have to part with him, but her four year old cat did not accept him. She liked being an only 'child'. L lost my 17 year old Himalayan quite a few months ago, and was too heartbroken to look for another one right away. L have a female Siamese who missed her sister, so l began to look and to inquire into other kittens. Luckily, l held out for the right one, l am now going to pick up my baby tomorrow and can hardly wait till then. He is coming into the best loving house possible, my entire outlook on cats is '' They can do no wrong ''. He will have the run of the house, will never be allowed outside and will have a new sister and mother to love... Once again, thanks to Rescue Me and Delores!

Yeti has been adopted and has a home with former Bluepoint Himalayan owners. She's the only cat in the home, which I like because of previous problems. I'm very thankful for Rescue Me!

Our family had our Blue Point Himalayan for over 20 years. He is in God's keeping now, but our hearts have been troubled and our sorrow has almost turned to grief. I have been a supporter of the Rescue Me organization for several years. I am set up for emails specific to Dalmatian and Himalayan breeds. Over the years I have never seen a Blue Point, and was incredibly surprised this morning to open the link and see a cat so close in appearance to my Nicholas that I was truly taken aback. Even more amazing is the fact that she was about 14 minutes from my home. I called the contact number, made arrangements to see the kitty, and now tonight she's at home in her new forever home. And the family circumstances of this cat's home were so touching. We feel so privileged to give their family confidence that we will love and cherish the opportunity to take care of this cat. Just tonight watching her brings back some of my favorite heartfelt memories of the love I had for my other cat. She is so similar in her mannerisms that it's healing my heart. Thank you for all that you to bring treasures pets to families like ours. We appreciate all that you do.

This was a wonderful experience. A sick Himalayan showed up trying to pry my door opened to get in. I placed him in a retriever crate overnight and from the next morning spent two weeks working with my veterinarian to nurse him back to health. I placed him on Rescue Me too early, not knowing just how long it would take to get him healthy. I was contacted immediately for his adoption and we kept in constant contact through your website. Today, he was picked up by his adopter. When she picked him up, he curled up in her arms purring.

I adopted Sweetheart when my friend, her owner, died suddenly and tragically. While she suits her name perfectly she, unfortunately, did not get along with my other two cats. It was not an easy decision to post her for adoption. I got two replies the next day. Tracy sounded wonderful on the phone and alleviated all my concerns for placing Sweetheart in a new home (the other inquirer lived out of state.) I am so happy with my decision to place Sweetheart with Tracy as we have talked a few times this past week since I took Sweetheart over to Tracy's home, and I have no doubts that Sweetheart is right where she needs to be. Thanks, Rescue Me!

I put Sasha and Pasha on Rescue Me, and now they have been adopted by a wonderful young lady. I have full visitation rights when I am in the area, and Pasha and Sasha are adapting well, much to my surprise. I thought they would be hiding for months, but they are out and about, exploring their environment. I prayed for a miracle and it happened! Thank you Rescue Me.

Thank you, Rescue Me We lost our cat several months ago due to an unfortunate accident. I put all of her things away with the exception of food, which I donated to a local no kill shelter. I found your website and fell in love with Abby sight unseen. After speaking with owners several times, they agreed to hold Abby for several weeks until I could drive to my other home. In addition, they agreed to meet me so I would not have to deal with traffic and a new cat in the car. Our new baby is now home and adapting well. I never thought we'd have another animal again, but accolades go out to your organization and Edith Bunker for having the thoughtfulness to post Abby with you. We could very well afford to buy any animal we wanted, but a lot to be said about finding one that truly needs a loving home due to whatever circumstance.

Through this website, I was able to place both my cats, even though I only posted one of them. The young woman that adopted my male cat brought a friend when she came to meet him, the friend came back and adopted my female cat before I even had a chance to post her here. Thanks, Rescue Me.

I am so happy with my new fur girl, Layla. My first Himalayan passed on this past winter. I knew that my husband and I would be traveling some when the spring semester was out, but I was really anxious to have another cat. We got home last weekend and I went online and there was Layla. Her former owner brought her over and we are dealing with fireworks, but things are looking great. The former owner and I exchanged text messages, we met and Layla fell asleep in my arms. Using Rescue Me was such a nice, low key interface. It was friends setting up a forever home for a wonderful little creature. I am so happy.

My Misty is one lucky Himalayan! Rescue Me provided me with so many calls for her, mostly good ones, but I was just looking for that ONE I knew deserved her. Misty had come from such a terrible situation, like so many on this site. I was not going to settle for anyone but exactly who was best for her. And we found him, didn't we Misty?! I just knew that Misty's sweet and playful personality would blossom with the right person, and I cannot thank this gentlemen enough for being so kind and compassionate in giving her that chance. Thank you, Rescue Me!

When my parents passed away, none of us could take their cat, Boots. We have all tried for eight months to find a home for her, but no one was even remotely interested in giving her a home. It was so sad to see her haunting their home, all alone there, except for once every few days someone coming by to replenish her food and water. We had finally decided that we would have to put her down, but no one had the courage to follow through. Then I thought about finding a rescue and found Rescue Me. Within three hours of posting her plight, I had three responses. We had her signed, sealed and delivered to a lovely couple within a matter of days and with several back up people hoping the deal would fall through. We all feel so much delight and relief to see her wanted, loved and situated in a way that she deserves. Thank you!

Percy was adopted along with his companion, Nina by a terrific family with a little boy that will totally love them. So glad I found the Rescue Me site. I refused to have to place my furry kids in the shelter and kept looking for a suitable home. I was diagnosed with Asthma after my first child was born, this past summer, I was heartbroken that the doctor said I was my cats I became allergic too. Their forever home was found.

My 20 year old Himalayan passed and left a gaping hole in my life. I waited some time before I could start the process of looking for another Himalayan kitty. I have had cats all my life, but never one as wonderful as Pumpkin, my Flame Point rescue kitty who died this year. I appreciated the bit of introductory information given with each baby up for adoption as it helped me narrow my search. I was being very picky. I wanted an adult male, not dominant, preferably neutered, declawed front feet, and up to date on shots. I did not want a Flame Point because I wanted to avoid possible competition with wonderful Pumpkin. Buster seemed to fit the bill! He was in need of vet care, which we took care of immediately. He was shy and nervous, and is still 'hiding out' at his new home. For me, it was love at first sight. My vet says he will come out of hiding in about two weeks, which is fine. We have given him LOTS of kitty cubbies to hide in, and he is making them his own. I am grateful to Rescue Me so that I could find such a beautiful baby (inside and outside) to love and care for.

Recently, I lost my beloved snowshoe Siamese, Boo Boo Bear, to cancer. We live far outside of a large town and therefore were fortunate to find such a breed of cat to begin with. We feared there would not be a second time. I found the Rescue Me website by accident and was delighted to find Sylas, who looked similar to the boy I lost. I was able to speak to the owner and, within two weeks, my husband and I traveled the 100 mile distance to adopt Sylas! I am happy to report that he is a sweet and comical boy who has helped to ease the pain of loss for myself and our remaining cat, Max! We are delighted and very thankful to have found him! Although nothing can completely take away my sadness of our loss of Boo Boo, it is a comfort knowing that we have been able to help another! Thank you so much. And God bless you Jeff Gold, founder of Rescue Me!!

Buddy is my mother-in-law's cat. She is disabled and just could not care for him the way he needed to be cared for. Her husband is a very busy man and had no time to care for him. They were going to have Buddy put down, since they figured he was too old to be adopted. But thankfully, they were wrong. My husband and I called everyone we could possibly think of to try to find Buddy a home. As much as we love him and would love to have kept him ourselves, we weren't allowed to have cats or dogs where we live. We contacted the humane society, and they informed us that Buddy was too old for them to take in, but that there was an amazing site just for Himalayans. We created a post here, on Rescue Me, and within the first 48 hours, we had several emails and phone calls. One stood out to us, and we quickly got in contact with the woman who wrote us. Within two days, she had all of the arrangements made to bring Buddy home. Tomorrow afternoon, Buddy will be on his way to his new home in Florida. Thank you, Rescue Me, for saving this sweet cat! We would not have been able to do this without you!

Rescue Me! was a lifesaver for me and Mr. Whiskers. He was adopted by a wonderful lady who rescues cats and has several Himalayans. We talked for about a month until our schedules coincided and we could meet. Mr. Whiskers is a long way from home now in the Outer Banks of North Carolina, but I get to see pictures and stay in touch with his new owner. It was a heartbreaking experience to give him up but Rescue Me! connected me with someone who is a true cat lover and I know he's in a good home. From what she says he seems to be adjusting well and I hope he's more comfortable there than he was in my apartment. Thank you, Rescue Me!

I look forward to the days to come with my new baby. Thank you, Rescue Me!, for finding me my fluffy, little Himalayan.

We had been trying to find a loving forever home for Paisley, our Himalayan. We were no longer able to keep him due to changes in our lifestyle, and some health issues. We tried postings in Vet's offices for almost 2 years to no avail. Then one day I happened on the website of Rescue Me! I was skeptical, but thought I would post anyway. Within two weeks, I had four emails wanting more info on him. I talked to several of the prospective adopters, and made arrangements for one that I felt I could entrust Paisley to. She met him, and they bonded right away. It has been about a month and he has settled in nicely. Rescue Me! was a great experience.

With a heavy heart I had to find a home for a himalayan blue point that my daughter was unable to move to her new home with her. Persephone is a senior cat, and I was unsure that I would be able to place her in a new home because of her age. Not so! After only 3 days posted on your site, I was contacted by a wonderful woman in Ohio. After exchanging several emails where we became acquainted with one another and she learned all about Persephone, she decided to adopt. We met half way between our homes and Persephone began her new life. She is so lucky!! CiCi ( her new Mom) and her son's LOVE her so much! She is even more spoiled by them than she was by me. Something I did not expect happened- CiCi and I became friends and she shares pictures and emails with me! CiCi invited me to Ohio to visit whenever I like. This site was an answer to my prayers. Thank you.

Asia was adopted quite quickly on your site. I had a few people contact me but never came. But then she was adopted this past Sunday. I would recommend this site to any one looking to find a good home for their Himalayan cats.

Zippy found a new family with a wonderful couple that drove 3 hours to get him last night. She had just lost her cat unexpectedly and fell in love with additional photos of the Zipster I sent after she inquired. She was so excited and happy when she met him, I just knew she would give him a wonderful home. Thank you so much for this website.

I only posted her two days ago and I have had so many inquiries. Today the lady who adopted her called me and it was a perfect match. I know that my Dolce is going to a perfect home. Susan East

I had a few calls on this sweet girl, I never gave up looking for a home for her either. It IS up to us mankind to take care of those who can not speak for them selves. Jamyla was owed a chance at a happy, loving home. You'll be happy to know that Jamyla's new mama is Avery, a loving sweet kindhearted woman. Who has promised to love, protect and pamper her like the princess she is.

I placed Mia (she is going to her new forever home tonight) through your site. I am so happy, she is the perfect new mom and I am confident that she will love her forever. I have fostered Mia for two years to keep her from going to a shelter and it has paid off, now she gets paradise. I took her in when her mom died and she had no where to go. I have too many kitties myself or I would have kept her. I knew I could find her a home, it just takes time. Thanks to your site, it has happened! Thank you!

Stewie was adopted and I was very impressed with this site. I had many responses and was able to exchange multiple emails with potential families in order to pick the best match. Himalayan breeds have such specific needs and we found a perfect match. I will absolutely use this site again if I have the need. Judi Lott

Hi Jeff, Gandolf did find a new home. He is doing wonderful. The gentleman who gave him a home is wonderful. Gandolf was taken to the vet immediately and to the groomer and is being spoiled rotten. We have been in contact and he says that Gandolf has adjusted and is doing very well in his new home. The vet gave him a clean bill of health. I appreciate the sight for giving me the opportunity to find Gandolf a safe and loving home that he deserved. Thanks Robyn

Jeff, I can not express my gratitude for your rescue website. We had a stray long hair beautiful cat hiding under our deck. I could not get her out on my own. She was scared. I posted her description and situation yesterday. The same evening I had two inquires about her. At 9am today, a wonderful couple drove over 2 hours to rescue her. She is now safe, warm, and in loving arms. God Bless you and your organization for making this a happy ending. Lisa Davey

Dear Jeff, I found a lovely Himalayan cat on your website and adopted her yesterday from a woman who could not keep her. I had a 16yr old Himalayan that passed away this past January and I have wanted another but since I am now disabled and live on a very modest income, I could not afford to go to a breeder any longer nor did I want a kitten, but rather an adult Himmy. I finally found this little one on your website and although she is still shy and not yet adapted to her new home, I am so blessed to have found her. I have no other pets so she will be treated as an only child and be loved and cared for. I trust your website completely since you only post the breed of cat the adopter is looking for and since they are purebreds, they have usually well cared for. My sincere thanks to you all, Anne

Good afternoon Jeff, Sagwa found a new home through Rescue Me.org. I am so happy that we were able to find her a loving home. It was a great experience with your site. I received inquiries about Sagwa and was finally able to find someone who we thought would be a great fit. Your site was a blessing! Thank you!

I found my precious Izzie a new home. I had someone call me from Virginia. I'm in South Carolina. I spoke with her and got references to check. Her cat was put down due to a blood clot last Thursday. We have passed pictures back and forth. I am so very, very grateful to Rescue Me for helping me with the placement of my sweet Izzie. It was something that I did not want to do, but just didn't have a choice. Izzie's new owner is coming Friday to pick her up. She is driving 6 hours! She has agreed to send me pictures of Izzie once she gets settled in. When I called her today to tell her she could have her, she began to cry. That's when I knew that she was going to the right place. I will definitely be keeping this email that you sent to forward on a donation. It's so nice to see that there are so many others that love animals like I do. Thanks again for a wonderful experience. Blessings to you and yours.... Lou Ann Boling

Hello - Sydney was adopted! We had a reply within a few days of posting and communicated a few times before we were able to get our schedules together to meeting. My husband and I met with the adoptive mother and her daughter on Monday and felt they would be an excellent family to place Syd with. I am delighted with the process; it was fast and I truly believe the people who came forward to give Syd a new home will love him as much as we did. Thanks so much for checking. Our experience was a good one.

Dear Mr. Gold, Maggie and Merlin both have been adopted by a wonderful man from Indiana. Not only is he going to give them BOTH a home together, which is wonderful since they have never been apart, but he is driving all the way from Indiana to Georgia to pick them up. Somebody needs to give this man a halo, because he's an angel! Thank you so much for the service that Rescue Me! provides. Without you, Paul (their new owner) and I would never have found each other, and Maggie and Merlin would not have such a loving, healthy, happy home. Best Regards, Thereasa Rinderknecht
